Do I need to know how to code?

How accurate are the backtests?

Backtests run on real intraday tick data and model slippage, brokerage, STT and other transaction costs. This makes results far closer to live performance than a simple close-to-close simulation. We also corporate-action adjust and gap-check the data.

Which markets and instruments are supported?

You can backtest NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, FINNIFTY and other index options and futures, as well as equity cash and stock F&O. Both intraday and positional (multi-day) strategies are supported.

Most backtests, even those spanning five years of data, complete within a few seconds. This lets you iterate quickly — tweak a parameter, rerun, and compare results almost instantly.

What is auto-optimisation?

Auto-optimisation sweeps a range of values for parameters like stop-loss, target and strike selection, then reports which combinations were most robust. The goal is to find a stable edge rather than a single lucky configuration.

Is my strategy and data private?

Yes. Strategies you build are stored under your account and are private to you. We do not share or sell your strategy logic. You can delete your strategies and data at any time.

Does past backtest performance guarantee future returns?

Accepted Answer

No. Backtesting validates the logic and behaviour of a strategy on historical data, but markets change. Past and backtested performance is not a guarantee of future results. Trading in securities and derivatives carries market risk.
